Course Overview


The National Certificate: Supply Chain Practitioner is a workplace-focused qualification that prepares

learners to plan, organize, execute, control and coordinate supply chain activities. It is designed to build

both theoretical understanding and practical competence in supply chain operations.


Course Outline


The curriculum includes supply chain environments, supply chain operations, workflow processes,

inventory and logistics operations, and supply chain relationships. Learning is delivered through

knowledge modules, practical skill modules and work experience modules. The work experience

component strengthens applied learning through tasks such as planning, sourcing, logistics, contract

administration, risk awareness, stock control and distribution.


Duration and Structure


The qualification is structured into 55 credits for knowledge modules, 40 credits for practical skill

modules and 47 credits for work experience modules. The curriculum places strong emphasis on

workplace application and supervised evidence-based performance.


Learning Outcomes


Learners will be able to scan the external environment for supply chain impacts, execute operational activities, analyse workflow processes, perform inventory and logistics operations, and optimize supply chain relationships. The programme also develops competence in ethics, compliance, communication,

customer service and continuous improvement.


Career Opportunities


This qualification supports entry into roles such as procurement administrator, procurement coordinator,

procurement officer, procurement clerk, supply chain assistant, buyer, controller, logistics clerk,

warehouse clerk and stock assistant. It may also support progression toward a Supply Chain Officer

qualification.
